Accessible Online Labour Market Information: A Guide for Developers
Prepared in association with CS/RESORS Consulting, Ltd. and IAM CARES, provides a framework when developing online labour market information is accessible to people with disabilities.
Simplified Web Accessibility Guide
Derived from the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 and the Government of Canada's Treasury Board Guidelines, the Guide is written in an easy to understand, easy to use question and answer format, the Guide is targeted directly at developers of career, learning and labour market information web sites. Also designed and coded the online HTML version.
Improving Access To Government Web Sites For People With Disabilities (PDF only)
Prepared for the British Columbia Government Policy and Communications Office, a web accessibility audit was conducted on a sample of Government web pages. Recommended that the Government revise the Government Internet Standards so that they are aligned with the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. The Corporate Internet Steering Committee adopted this recommendation in April 2001.
COLLMI (Career, Occupational, Learning and Labour Market Information) Search Engine
Audited the site, according to the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, to identify barriers facing people with disabilities. Recognized as "a comprehensive and excellent review", most of the audit's recommendations have since been implemented, making this Labour Market Information site more accessible to people with disabilities.
